FIRST Food & Bar

Last weekend, FIRST Food & Bar was the first place that came to mind for lunch because it sparked my curiosity after reading good reviews about it online. I loved their modern interior and the deals they offered for happy hour and ladies night! We had Catfish Tacos - made with cornmeal, buttermilk slaw, chipotle sour cream & Open Faced Tuna Melt - Topped with aged cheddar and sliced tomato. Tuna *Nachos*- Made with Ahi poke (tuna), roasted pineapple sauce, spicy mayo, and plantain chips. Kudos to the chef for making this appetizer!

True Hors d'œuvre

On the Sunday of True Blood 's season 3 premiere, there was a viewing party at Reggie's place. It was an clumsy experience she and I had when we were opening a bottle of Ballatore Sparkling Wine with the wrong corkscrew opener! Anyways she made lovely appetizers and it was a memorable night indeed!

アルコール

For Byron's birthday, we celebrated it at Oyshi Sushi and Sake . In this picture were the gifts he got! On the left is a bottle of Asahi beer and to the right is a baby bottle of Horin 'Good Fortune' Sake from me. I'm glad he liked the smooth sake...Yay! =)

Manhattan Beach Creamery

After walking along Manhattan Beach, we went to get some ice cream from Manhattan Beach Creamery. I love this place because they had a lot of homemade ice cream, desserts, and candies. You could spend like an hour looking at all the delights they have! I sampled some of their original ice creams and thought that the Red Velvet Ice Cream was a unique one - it had bits of red velvet cake in it... They should make an ice cream sandwich of that flavor! I decided to get the Coconut Ice Cream. I missed that flavor and I was feeling tropical that day!

C & O Cucina

We went to C& O Cucina one night because my friends loved their bread balls. They always came around bringing a new batch to everyone! These bread balls were so amazing that I couldn't finish my meals =) My C&O Cucina's Sangria made of Chianti wine, brandy, fruit juices, Sprite, and garnished with an orange and cherry :

Taj India Palace

In Los Angeles, we ate at Taj India Palace . I'm glad our friends recommended us to eat here because their Indian food tasted home made and the buffet lunch was only $7.99. The curry dishes and naan were awesome! Next time I'm in LA, I'll definitely visit this place again.

Mimi's Cafe

During Memorial Day weekend we adventured out to California primarily because I wanted to go to Knott's Berry Farm! Before we headed out to the Knott's, we ate a hearty breakfast at Mimi's Cafe in Lake Forest. The two items I recommend to order is a side of red skin potatoes and any muffin - they're so fluffy and moist!
