Dessy B's Steakhouse

On Tropicana Ave. and Eastern Ave. lies  Dessy B's Steakhouse , a small family restaurant specializing in steaks, hamburgers, chicken, seafood, pastas, BBQ, and has a salad bar.  It used to be Sizzler, but once it closed the former district manager wanted to open up his own restaurant and that's how Dessy B's came to be (named after his daughter).  The interior has somewhat remnants of the old Sizzler and has a western theme to it. I ordered the Steak & Grilled Chicken  with a baked potato .   The sauce I chose for my chicken was the lemon caper because I'm sure I never had it before.  The lemon caper sauce was subtle with a bit sourness from the lemon.  Other choices of sauce include BBQ, teriyaki, and Baja: I was satisfied with the size of my meal.  The steak was 6 oz. and the chicken breast looked normal sized, not like big ones that's obviously been added with hormones!  I don't always need a meal with huge portions t...

Pioneer Saloon

If you're interested in exploring other parts of Nevada or just want to get away from Las Vegas,  Pioneer Saloon  in Goodsprings is the place to visit!  This saloon was built back in 1913 and is full of history : Gate to the outdoor dining area Just walk on over to the general store next to the saloon and order your food. I got the Alaskan Salmon Burger.   The patty was grilled just right!  It came with addicting kettle chips and I got to choose my toppings.  The owner recommended me to try the ghost chili sauce with my burger.  I was hesitant to get it because I can't handle very spicy foods, but he assured me it wasn't that spicy... He was right, the sauce went great with my burger! Outlaw Chicken Nachos If you want to cook your own food instead you can rent a grill and they'll supply the food! Fire pit Loaded Gun Baked Potato-  I was still hungry and got this HUGE baked potato, I think the owner was...

Egg Works

I had eaten at  Egg Works  way back on the morning of St. Patrick's Day .  I remember it was busy with a about a 20 minute wait.  The wait wasn't boring at all because I got to see people's festive green clothing everywhere! I loved the plentiful egg dishes to choose from the menu: Some of the meals came with their homemade banana nut muffin: My husband got the Works Veggie Benny - Comes with a English muffin , topped with grilled tomatoes, fresh spinach, sliced avocado, two poached eggs, and hollandaise  sauce, with a side of Works potatoes: My friend ordered the Loco Moco  with a side of pineapple: As for me I got one of the special omelets with plenty of vegetables, and a side of Works potatoes and banana nut muffin.  My dish was egg-ceptional!: I'm all about eating more at local businesses, and Egg Works/The Egg & I is one of them!  Come to any of the four locations  for a hearty breakfast :) ...

Zoozacrackers Deli

My friends and I enjoyed a comp dinner last Monday at Zoozacrackers Deli (thanks Dan!) inside the Wynn . We each had an appetizer, meal, and dessert. I was starving before I came and my three dishes filled me up quick! For my appetizer, I chose these crispy potatoes covered with melted cheese and sour cream. It looked so pretty that I didn't want to eat and ruin it's design! The potatoes were savory, I would go back there just to eat this: My Turkey Reuben sandwich was too much for me. I loved the deli turkey, wished for more sauerkraut inside, the bread was fried in too much butter for me, and was very cheesy. It was so greasy and bad for my arteries, yet so tempting for me to finish it all! I ended up only eating 1/2 of it (I saved the rest for later). I had to make more room for dessert: For dessert, I had a fat cheesecake slice with strawberries. There was a nice vanilla syrup layered on top of it: Their utensils were fancy and curvy, I had to take a pic it:
