Shrimp Sundae

The Golden Gate Casino in Downtown is well known for their shrimp cocktails. I could eat their shrimp cocktails all day long!

Ichiza

I finally went to Ichiza (next to China Town Plaza along Spring Mountain Rd) last night after all these years of wanting to go. I liked the atmosphere of the place, felt like I was in a little Japan. I didn't get to enjoy the rest of my stay because I got really sick and had to leave early. I didn't get the chance to try their popular Honey Toast! I'll write more when I go there again.

That's a lot of beef:

I tried their yellowtail sushi:

San Francisco Trip

Last January I went to San Francisco, I wish I stayed there longer!

These signs took up an entire wall of the Yan Yan Chinese Restaurant on Judah St. I wish I understood it:

The Crepevine Restaurant filled me up with a good breakfast, I went there twice!:

My friend recommended to eat at The Stinking Rose. She read my mind because I LOVE garlicy food. I ordered the Gnocchetti with Garlic gorgonzola, asparagus & toasted pine nuts and I also ate their garlic bread:

I spent the whole day at Fisherman's Wharf, it was fun getting lost there. My first stop there was at Boudin Bakery:

Kara's Cupcakes at Ghirardelli Square had neat cupcake designs:

Japan Town was fun, I wish it was bigger. I forgot where we ate (sorry!):

Sorabol was my favorite Korean fast food place. I was sad when it closed at Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas. When I was at Westfield Mall, I was happy to see the place again:

House of Blues Restaurant

On Friday the 13th, I went to a birthday dinner at The House of Blues Restaurant, which serves Southern Creole-Cajun food. I've never been around this cuisine much so I had to choose wisely when I was looking at the menu. My appetite wasn't that big so I ordered the Crispy Catfish Nuggets with Sweet Potato French Fries and their World Famous Spicy Tartar Sauce:

I chose wisely... The nuggets and fries weren't super greasy and the tartar sauce was a delight! And this was my friend's 'chocolately' birthday cake from Freed's Bakery:

Hawaiian goodies

Today I checked out Miles Bake Shop & Hawaiian Foods. Miles recently relocated to my area of town so that's convenient for me! An aunty showed my boyfriend and I some aloha spirit by hooking us up with free malasadas. Along with the free food, we bought ahi tuna poke. Both of the treats were fresh and authentic enough for me. I miss Hawaii!
