Anthony's Prime Steak & Seafood

I had made a reservation at a restaurant for my birthday a week prior and when my family and I got there we saw a sign saying it was closed for renovation!  I was of course mad for not being notified.  We spoke to a manager and he asked if we wanted to eat at Anthony's Prime Steak and Seafood instead.  I was only afraid that the portion size of the meals would not be enough, but since we drove all the way to The M, I decided we might as well give this place a chance:

Freshly baked bread - they make their own bread!

My 16 oz New York Sirloin, dry aged - this was my first big steak I've had in awhile and it is from the Anthony's Signature Prime Beef Selection.  Our waiter told us steaks chosen from this section are from cows that were raised at the Marnell ranch in Montana.  This steak was nicely seasoned and the vegetables that came with it complimented the dish well.

Classic Seafood Bouillibasse - My fiancé got this hearty soup.  It came with lobster, shrimp, and saffron broth.

My dad's Prime Rib of Beef - came with horseradish cream (to the left) and au jus (natural juice of the meat).

How nice of them to give me this :)

Overall it was a lovely dining experience for me and my family. The great service and the quality and amount of food we got from there definitely made up for what happened!

Aloha Kitchen

Aloha Kitchen located along W. Sahara Ave. and S. Decatur Blvd. is one of my favorite late night spots to go to with friends to relax, recuperate from drinking, and to enjoy some Hawaiian food:

Another reason I like this place is that they serve breakfast anytime!  I got the Corned Beef Hash with two eggs (any style) and rice.

If you're not familiar with local Hawaiian food, try the Local Plate- a combo of teriyaki chicken, beef, and two spam musubis.  This plate is a fusion of mainly Hawaiian, Asian, and American cuisine all together.

Adobo Fried Rice Omelette- This big omelette may look plain, but inside is a rich flavored adobo fried rice!

This Christmas Day menu sounds soo ono :)

Las Famosas de Jose

If you happen to be in the East Tropicana Ave. area (near UNLV) craving for Mexican food, definitely try eating at Las Famosas de Jose.  This place has the typical big servings like other small Mexican restaurants, but what makes them unique is they serve 3 pound burritos!  I didn't try it (I love food, but I don't like to eat excessively!), instead I enjoyed a fajitas de pollo.

Mi fajitas de pollo to go.  I brought my lunch to school and a lot of my classmates got lured to my area with my food's smell... That's how great it was!
