Truckers In The Wild - Las Vegas Episode

I just watched on  VICE  their awesome new food show called Truckers in the Wild , about the culture of food trucks (a scene I'm still fairly new to).  In the series, the two chef hosts, Max and Eli Sussman, travel around the country to visit some of the best food trucks in the US - one of which includes Haulin' Balls in Las Vegas. *Please check out the mini episode here: http://www.vice.com/truckers-in-the-wild/las-vegas-truckers-in-the-wild .  Enjoy!

Las Vegas Foodie Fest '12

Back in April I went to  Las Vegas Foodie Fest  on its last day, three hours before it closed... It was kind of a bad idea!  A lot of the food trucks ran out of some menu items or all of their foods!  At least those trucks were successful and we were still able to grub on some interesting foods: The first annual Las Vegas Foodie Fest The White Rabbit Truck serves Filipino fusion food. Chicken Adobo Tacos  from White Rabbit Truck My favorite dessert was from the Fluff Ice Truck , their desserts are like shaved ice, but with a twist...

South Point Gourmet Food Truck Fest

Earlier this month I went to the  South Point Gourmet Food Truck Fest .  Non-food wise, the lot where this food truck fest was located at was s p a c i o u s, I loved it!  There were twenty food trucks there (many of them were from California).  The lucky food trucks I tried foods from were Calbi  Fusion Tacos|Burritos, Pie 'n Burger , Longboards Ice Cream , Ludo Truck , and  Nom Nom Truck . @ Calbi - This food truck sells Korean BBQ style tacos, burritos, and quesadillas aka "KoMex" food.  Being an adventurous eater, I tried the Kim Chee Quesadillas with a house dipping sauce on the side.  Never would I think of combining kim chee , cheese, and a tortilla  together!  The quesadillas were quite pleasant.  I only wish that the quesadillas or the sauce had more spices added to them: Front-  Tofu Tacos,  Back- Kim Chee Quesadillas @ Pie 'n Burger - I got a pie, but also got a hot dog instead of a burger....

Beauty Bar

Last week I went to the Beauty Bar  to watch my fiancé and his band  play a show in their patio, which is behind the bar.  When I walked in, I saw picnic tables and the food vendor (!), The Lunch Box  selling hot dogs.  They don't make just regular hot dogs, if you see in this photo below, you can see what makes what makes their hot dogs special: For dessert, I saw a lady make the  Ice Cream Wafflewich .  She poured a waffle batter into a big waffle maker and let it cook.  Afterwards she took two pieces of waffles and placed scoops of vanilla on top and squished them together like a sandwich.  I really wanted to try it, but I absolutely had no appetite... So next time I'll try it! Other food truck vendors that also come to the Beauty Bar are  Sloppi Jos ,  Fukuburger ,  Muncheeze , and  Slidin' Thru .  I have yet to try foods from all these food trucks, I can't wait!
