Nosh Las Vegas

Since last September,  Nosh Las Vegas  has been hosting food tours at the Caesars Palace .  I did not know what to expect just knowing we were going to sample foods from a few restaurants at this casino.  Our guide Joel was very informative and funny.  Other than talking about the restaurants we went to, Joel gave a history lesson about Las Vegas and how it tied in with food.  Also, at these five restaurants, there was an employee or two from each one who gave us a rundown on how their establishment operates.  I don't want to delve into much of the details about this tour; you just have to go, see, and taste the food yourself! For our first stop we went to Beijing Noodle No. 9 .  They specialize in Northern Chinese cuisine -noodles are eaten more at the north and more rice is eaten at Southern China.   Pork and Shrimp Dumpling : Hand pulled noodles: Tomato and Egg with Hand Pulled Noodle , you can tell just by the first b...

Yard House @ The LINQ

A few days before the grand opening of the  Yard House @ The LINQ , I had the pleasure of having a sneak peak of the new location and sampling some of the food from their menu.  It seemed like there was an endless amount of food that kept coming over to us during the one hour I was there!  Upon walking in I was surprised how huge the first floor was.  The interior was quite sleek and had huge ceiling fans.  At this food event we were also given two free drink tickets (wish I could have used both, but had to work right after). Here are some sample of foods we had- hamburger slider (the beef was seasoned nicely and cooked medium with a bit juiciness), Shiitake Garlic Noodles (one of my favorite appetizers), New York Steak Salad (I wish there were more greens, but I know it was a sample!), and Penne with Chicken (along with crimini mushrooms, asparagus and sun-dried tomatoes in marsala cream sauce, and parmesan): Another set of foods we tried were...

Joey's Pizza

Don't be deceived by  Joey's Pizza 's location and exterior, their pizzas and chicken wings are worth trying and they offer great deals!  The ingredients of the pizzas are fresh and the ones I've had don't taste dry like a cardboard.  If you get chicken wings, also get the ranch sauce to dip them in, they're delish! Middle:  14" pizza with jalapeño , mushrooms, and pineapple chunks. Bottom:  Joey's Famous Home Run - Alfredo garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, baked and topped with diced tomatoes and cheddar cheese. P.S.  Whenever I drive past this place, it reminds me of Alias .   If you've watched the first season you'll know what I mean.

NNPK (No Name Pizza Kitchen)

A huge slice of  NY style pizza from No Name Pizza Kitchen at The Cosmopolitan .  This place is hidden in one of the hallways of the casino.  Have fun trying to find it!

Happy Hour @ Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana

After an intense week of schooling, I've been going to  Settebello  for Happy Hour.  I feel like I deserve to eat a delizioso pizza, appetizer, and dessert for all the studying I've been doing! For now, this will be the closest for me to eating an Italian pizza - A Margherita Pizza  with crushed tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, parmigiano reggiano, extra virgin olive oil, and mushroom (our choice of topping).  Eating this pizza cannot be compared to a chain pizza place, never! Appetizers off the happy hour menu are currently $5.  I don't remember what this dish was but I know it mainly was prosciutto  drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.  I rarely eat this kind of meat so I was excited to see this on the menu! Birra Castello This is their housemade vanilla bean sweet cream, Panna Cotta , topped with a strawberry and a drizzle of balsamic.  I was curious of how the balsamic would blend with this dessert.  It wen...

Pizza Place

A casual dining place in the  Wynn  that I liked was Pizza Place .  This isn't your typical pizza joint because the quality of thier food and drinks are superb! Cafe Latte - It was very smooth and frothy until the very end. A sliced piece of a  Risotto Stick - The risotto was creamy.. I'd rather eat this than a mozaralla stick! Slice from a 22" thin Cheese Pizza -   Greasy goodness!

Angelina's Pizzeria

Angelina's Pizzeria is my neighborhood pizza place to go! They have good deals and I love the cheeses they put in their pizzas and pastas. I usually get their mushroom pizzas:

The Saucy Tomato

One rainy night when me and my fiancé were craving for good pizza, we visited The Saucy Tomato . We were lucky to come in after their busy hours. We got a good seat at the bar and watched our pizza be made. Our pizza pie was a half of Pesto Veggie - Sun dried tomato, mushrooms, red onions, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, red peppers, zucchini and fresh scallions on a basil pesto base. Topped with mozzarella, smoked provolone and Pecorino Romano Cheese and half of Kronos Vegan - Spinach, cooked tomatoes, roasted garlic, roasted pine nuts, Nicoise olives, red onions, red bell peppers, lemon zest, kosher sea salt, and fresh basil on herb and garlic oil base. Eating this pizza felt refreshing, it wasn't super greasy like some major pizza chains. Eating this pizza also made me feel like I didn't have to go to Chicago or New York to eat an authentic pizza! I'll be coming here more!

CPK

Town Square has many places of where to eat. After walking around, we decided to eat at California Pizza Kitchen . It was my first time eating at CPK, and as I was looking at the menu, I was surprised with the types of pizzas they made. No pizza was ordinary like the Cheeseburger Pizza, Pear & Gorgonzola, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, and etc. I was willing to try anything and ate Jessica's favorite dishes, Chicken Picatta - chicken breast in a creamy lemon-caper sauce with spaghettini pasta and Wild Mushroom Pizza - Cremini, Portobello, Shiitake, and white mushrooms, Fontina and Mozzarella cheeses with a wild mushroom walnut pesto garnished with chopped Italian parsley. I enjoyed the lemon-caper sauce on the Chicken Picatta (I love lemony foods!) and liked how there was a lot of mushrooms in the Wild Mushroom Pizza and the crust was the best! I know I'm going back to CPK just to try out their other pizzas!
